Short version: Looper Deluxe doesn't have accounts, doesn't track you across the web, and keeps your practice data on your own device. Here's the full picture.
Saved loops, setlists, preferences, capo settings, and your streaming connections all live in your browser's local storage. We can't see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
When a feature listens to audio — your microphone, a tab you choose to share, or a file you open — the audio is processed for chord and beat detection and then discarded. We don't keep recordings, and the instrument isolator runs entirely on your device.
Connecting Spotify uses Spotify's own sign-in. The access token is stored in your browser, not on our servers, and we only use it for playback and search on your behalf. Disconnect any time from Spotify's account settings.
Song searches and chord-library lookups go through our server so results load fast. Standard technical logs (like any website) may include your IP address and the songs searched; we use these only to keep the service running and improve the chord library. We don't build profiles and we don't sell or share data with advertisers.
If you submit a chord correction or vote on a version, that contribution is stored and shown to other users. Contributions aren't linked to your identity — we don't have one for you.
Lyrics come from public lyric services, video search uses the YouTube API, and the site is served through GitHub Pages and Cloudflare — each receives the technical data any website visit involves, under their own privacy policies.
Server logs rotate on a short schedule. The chord library (song names, chords, timings) is kept indefinitely — it contains no personal information. Community contributions stay until removed.
Everything personal lives in your browser, so you're in control: clear the site's data to remove saved loops and connections, and disconnect Spotify from your Spotify account settings. If you want a community contribution taken down, email us and we'll remove it.
Looper Deluxe is a general-audience practice tool and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new date.
